You will be joining a growing company with a strong and growing client base. OK so you can see that this is a super place to work and now we need to look at duties and what you will be doing. Well the role is primarily for a mechanical estimator (plumbing, air-con etc) and it would be advantageous if you had some knowledge of electrical estimating.
The role will include: preparation of detailed take-offs and measurement from tender documents; design proposals, examine tender documentation and advise of alternative solutions or value engineering options; take an enquiry or tender package and work it up into a detailed quotation using in-house computer based systems; liaise with other departments to gather data required for the compilation of tenders; undertake the commercial / technical appraisal of suppliers and M&E sub-contractors; cover for other duties in the event of staff holidays and illness; and everyone at the company all do one hour of telemarketing each week.
This role will be ideal for someone who can use their own initiative and determination to secure projects. It would also be useful if you have had exposure to the commercial, education and health sectors with a slant towards office fit outs and refurbishments.
We are looking for someone with a city & guilds or ONC level of education with a good understanding of M&E. You will be self motivated and able to work under pressure, meeting deadlines to return quotations. In this role you will be working acurately and with minimal supervision.
Ideally we are looking for someone with a drivinbg licence and their own transport and who can communicate effectively at all levels. You must have good IT skills along with the abilityu to plan and organise your own workload.

This role will be filled by an experienced estimator who has worked with architectural metalwork before. This can be using mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, bronze and brass. The role will see you working from plans and producing tender documents, having costed the whole project up. You will need to be IT literate as most tenders come through the internet now and they need to be uploaded in the same way.
The role will need someone who is experienced in working from plans, identifying which drawings are relevant and having contacts with suppliers to ensure that the project can be completed and, setting a workable budget, within budget.
