As an Independent Financial Advisor, you will be responsible for providing holistic independent financial advice, fulfilling complex needs of the customers, choosing from the whole of the market place and by understanding customer’s financial goals and attitude to risk, recommending the most suitable products to meet their financial needs. You will also build relationships with other branches within the company to provide support, guidance and coaching to achieve sales and activity targets.You will also be responsible for conducting thorough fact finding meetings and drawing out the financial needs and aspirations of the client.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will have excellent fact finding and report writing skills. You should be a competent with the use of standard IT applications and have the ability to influence and build strong relationships. An in depth technical knowledge of investments tax planning is vital and you will need to be proficient in making high quality presentations.
Knowledge:
As an IFA you should have a detailed knowledge of financial products approved by SIFAS
You will have an understanding of the responsibilities to comply with FSA regulations
You will have an understanding of the Life assurance, pensions and investment industry as well as the current UK tax system
