1. QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR - HATFIELD - £16k - £17k
My client is a well established, friendly company and is looking for someone with an excellent logical and methodical approach who wants to join a solid company. There is free parking on site and you are also a short distance away from shops, banks and cafes. We can discuss the other staff benefits with successful candidates. This company is long established and is a leader in it's field of manufacturing, dealing with large blue-chip companies. As you will be working in a factory environment, the role is for 40 hours per week with 45 minutes unpaid lunch each day.
The successful candidate will be trained on what to do but must be someone who is a self starter and able to think through the processes on their own. You will be a 'starter / completer' who has a strong work ethic and realises that the role is a very important one. You must be someone with high attention to detail as you are checking the quality of manufactured products. You will largely be working unsupervised, once trained, which will suit many people that like to get on with things and get it done.
Some of the duties of the role are listed below:
1.Ensure that the manufactured products meet the specified standards before they progress to the next phase of production or are sent out to customers
2.Ensure that the measuring and testing equipment is set correctly
3.Selecting a sample from a production batch for inspection and testing
4.Checking and testing materials and parts from outside suppliers
5.Monitoring the production process at different stages
6.Carrying out tests on products by observing or measuring dimensions, weight, or physical or chemical characteristics against specified requirements
7.Keeping accurate records of tests and checks
8.Writing reports on test results
9.Analysing the results of tests to see if products or materials are acceptable
10.Identify inconsistencies and faults, and discover their root cause
11.Discuss problems with production staff and development team
12.Help to develop solutions to problems
13.Constantly review current working practices to improve quality standards
14.Maintain systems to monitor customer satisfaction levels
15.Prepare for external audits and customer’s inspectors in respect of quality control systems
16.To work closely with the Production Supervisors to achieve a quality product to the correct standard with the minimum of waste.
17.Monitor customer complaints and implement corrective action as instructed by the Q.A. Committee
18.Ensure that systems, processes and procedures are strictly adhered to throughout the Plant
19.To ensure the correct use of procedures and trace-ability of product at all stages of manufacture.

It would be beneficial if you have had some previous experience in quality control though not essential by any means.
